Clutter Prevention

The best way to stop clutter from building up is to clean as you go.

Put things away as soon as you're done using them.

Throw things away as soon you know you won't use them.

Check out my first, new video.

No more excuses!

Have a clutter- free home.

De-cluttering to Sell

Are you planning to sell your house? Professional Organizer Houston will declutter your house.

In real estate, buyers buy space. The more space you're able to show, whether it be living or storage space, the more you'll be able to sell for. Unfortunately, that's easier said than done. Most people are pack rats. Rooms have too much furniture and you'll find stuff overflowing in every nook and cranny. There's little space for walking sometimes, much less for living.

De-cluttering is the process of reclaiming the space in your house from years of collecting and storing. Don't expect the buyers to ignore all this and imagine your house in its clutter-free state. Buyers sometimes see dozens of houses in one day and their brains are overtaxed.

De-clutter so the buyers can see your house, not your mess.

Hoarding

Hoarding has been seen all over the media lately, thanks to shows like Oprah and Dr. Phil.

What is Hoarding?

Hoarding is a term that is widely used to refer to a broad number of behaviors ranging from mere messiness to extreme clutter that prohibits daily functioning. In severe cases, the amount of clutter poses a threat to health and safety.

While non-clinical hoarding refers to what most people would consider your average "pack-rat" or "clutter bug," clinical or compulsive hoarding is the term that is typically used in reference to a specific mental health condition.

Many researchers believe that compulsive hoarding is connected to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), though hoarding behaviors can be associated with other conditions, as well.*

According to Frost and Hartl (1996), the definition of compulsive hoarding is threefold:

-The excessive accumulation of a large number of possessions that appear to others to be useless or of limited value, coupled with the failure or inability to discard them;

-The amount of clutter in living spaces is so extensive that it prevents or severely limits the intended uses or functions of the spaces;

-The clutter, acquiring, or difficulty discarding causes significant distress or impairment in functioning.

Benefits from getting organized

When you hire a Houston professional organizer, you make an investment in your happiness and in your future.

Being disorganized comes with a lot of costs.
It diminishes your productivity and costs you time when you can’t find what you’re looking for. It also costs money. Disorganized people often pay late fees because they don’t have a system for ensuring that their bills are paid on time. They also find themselves frequently purchasing items that they already own because clutter prevents them from being able to retrieve items. Imagine the improved quality of life and peace of mind that comes with conquering your clutter and putting systems in place for managing your time and belongings!

• You are not annoyed approaching your home

• A feeling of opening yourself up to new opportunities

• Letting go of who you were, and celebrating who you are now

• You no longer have that nagging voice in your head telling you to sort this area out

• Your mood lightens as you are no longer annoyed by scattered of piled- up clothes around the room

ORGANIZE YOUR GARAGE !

Professional organizer houston will organize your garage.

The garage is often delegated as a dumping ground for misplaced objects and miscellaneous tools.

The organization of a garage is often the last thing considered, but it is often the most valuable when it comes to finding one's personal "stuff."
If you're moving to a new home, I have some garage organization ideas that will eliminate the frustration of moving without a place to put your excess storage items.

If carport clutter is driving you mad, start by reclaiming your parking space.

The trick: Utilize the walls. A securely mounted pegboard system will get your tools — rakes, hoses, even wheelbarrows — off the floor and out of the way, plus you'll always be able to see what you have. Carve out even more space by mounting a row of shelves above the board. Just keep a sturdy step stool or ladder handy so you can safely access overhead gear.

Loft-like storage, such as a wooden shelf, or easily installed rack units, is ideal for holding seasonal items such as holiday decor or outdoor gear; rotate out boxes or bins as needed (don't forget to label them). Corral sports gear in a go-to bin so family members can drop off or pick up things while passing through. Tuck bikes and scooters beneath the shelf, too.

Office Organizing Houston

Professional Organizer Houston is committed to increasing productivity and efficiency in the workplace. Reduce stress, improve productivity, eliminate lost information, and free your time to reach your professional goals.

Overwhelmed with clutter?

That's how people often feel when faced with a house full of clutter.

Yet even the messiest house can be put to order with a plan to keep the clutter from reappearing.

Clearing clutter takes time, so don't get discouraged.
Get rid of things you don't use anymore.

A messy, cluttered office can result in incomplete work, missed deadlines and lost information.

It is time to remove those piles of paper occupying your desktop, floor and shelves.

The worst decision you can make is not making a decision about those piles, because no paperwork decision = greater paper buildup.

All documents need to have a home, just as your silverware, pots and pans and dishes have their specific homes in your kitchen.
File them away for future reference, or your follow up system for papers you need at some later time, plus an ongoing project system, etc.
