Get Rid of Clutter and Get Room Makeover

Houston Professional Organizer will  Get Rid of Clutter.

Do you have a room full of clutter and want to get a room makeover?

As we all know one of the quickest and most affordable ways to change the look of any room is by painting.

We allowed the teenage girl express herself in choosing a color for the walls.

Since the walls were boring & plain: she chose a purple color for the walls.

I loved her idea; I call it “wow-factor walls”.

A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity.

We kept the large dark wood bed frame since it's timeless and versatile enough to fit in with every decorating idea.

We decided to go with neutral carpet.

Zebra print was an excellent idea for the room accessories: window treatment, big bed pillows and chair, which created some mystery and excitement into the room.

A deep purple with neutral tans or beige is an earthy, conservative color combination with a touch of the mystery that purple provides.

Zebra print is one example of the varied animal designs that have grown so popular with teenage girls and moms who want an eye-catching and unique look for their room.

Conclusion:

  1. Huh? Where's all her STUFF? You didn't say/show anything about the clutter.

  2. It’s call “PURGE”.

In this case I was dealing with Hoarding.

As a Professional Organzier what I did was:
Commit to a system of keep/donate/recycle/and throw away to eliminate clutter.

    Tip:
Don't keep things that you don't use, don't keep clothes that don't fit or you don't wear, don't keep broken things just because you might fix them "later". Throw away or recycle things (like junk mail or old magazines) as soon as you know you're not going to use them.

Empty “Corona” boxes, broken containers, damaged clothes = junk.

    Get rid of it!

  3. I used plastic containers to store the stuff animals.
I put away, sort and organize by category all the other remaining items in the room.

  4. Nicely done! Have you ever looked into Self-Storage so you can still keep all of the things you just cant part with? One man's trash is another man's treasure you know! I use Amazing Spaces, one of those self storage facilities in Houston. They have climate controlled units, and keep your stuff locked up tight!
